Summary Isoglossa pareensis I.Darbysh. & Hemp (Acanthaceae), from submontane moist forest at Mwala in the South Pare Mountains of northeastern Tanzania, is described and illustrated. This species considered to be related I. gregorii (S.Moore) Lindau punctata (Vahl) Brummitt J.R.I.Wood, which are widespread montane forests eastern Africa, but it clearly differs these inflorescence structure indumentum anther morphology. Notes on habitat requirements extinction risk this new provided; Vulnerable under IUCN criterion D2 because its extremely limited range a plausible future threat wildfires.
